Pollinator Steward Certification (PSC)
As the founder of Wings of Change, I am deeply committed to fostering environments where both nature and communities thrive. Taking the pollinator steward certification course was a natural choice for me because it equips individuals with the scientific expertise needed to create a positive impact on pollinators and, consequently, on our planet. This course resonates with my mission to inspire and empower others—whether they are home gardeners, land managers, or farmers—to take actionable steps in supporting pollinator populations. By joining the community of certified Pollinator Stewards, I am collectively contributing to a healthier ecosystem, which aligns perfectly with the vision of Wings of Change. The Pollinator Steward Certification (and stamp) demonstrates one’s deep understanding of pollinators’ needs and lifecycle, and a commitment to creating habitats that support these incredible creatures. I’m thrilled to be an International Pollinator Steward.
While a student, I learned about the fascinating world of pollinators, exploring how they lived and thrived. I also discovered ways we could all contribute to their well-being. The course provided detailed guidance on creating habitats for pollinators in various settings, such as parks, pathways, city gardens, and fields. Plus, I gained additional insights into identifying different pollinators and sharing this knowledge with others.
Certification required TWO steps:
- I completed an 8-part virtual training module (one was extra credit), either by attending live sessions or viewing recorded ones. Once I finished, I filled out a short learning form to share my training takeaways.
- Additionally, I installed habitats, and continued with our online education. A similar short form was completed to demonstrate proof of these actions by January of the following year.
Over 2,000 people across North America and the world have participated in this program. Follow this link to see the map where our Pollinator Steward community is making a positive difference across the globe for pollinators, people, and the planet!
