Wings of Change partnered with San Diego Gives, United Way and Fallbrook Active Nutrition to host a service project in Fallbrook
Wings of Change partnered with San Diego Gives and United way to host a service project in Fallbrook on 9-9.
San Diego Gives was formed to shine a light on the tremendous work of local nonprofits throughout San Diego County – and 338 nonprofits participated! Thanks to your generosity, over 4,000 donors raised more than $1,133,000 dollars to support our community and our County.

We helped create a butterfly habitat at Fallbrook Active Nutrition. Together Fallbrook Community gifted 127 hours of service to Fallbrook with 24 volunteers. We chose a location with a bank facing west. There was a small oak tree, a pepper tree, and a yucca plant that we left in place. The new habitat was created with all 4 seasons of blooming in mind and was planned to thrive without water. The design included 26 varieties of plants and will host over 100 species of pollinators including butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. It Includes many native plants that are considered keystone species. Â

Empowering Youth and Preserving Mother Earth
At Wings of Change, we believe in educating and nurturing young minds to create a better future for our planet. By working together, we can ensure that pollinators continue to thrive. We value our high school volunteers and have included a second day of service on Saturday just for them. Read more information on this exciting opportunity in our next blog post.
