Good Bug Seed Mix is a special mixture of seeds that provide nectar and pollen to beneficial insects used for organic pest control. Beneficial bugs include lacewings, ladybugs, hoverflies and parasitic wasps, which help to destroy harmful pests such as aphids, thrips, and mites.
Good Bug Seed Mix contains legumes and brilliant wildflowers to create a natural insectary that attracts and supports the beneficial predatory insects while providing an alternate target for crop destroyers, drawing them into an insect ambush. In the late summer, once the seed has set, mow the area to scatter ripe seed for the following years’ growth. In the fall, additional seeding may be desired to establish a stronger, self-supporting stand.
