A year-round nonprofit sustainability project that culminates in a Day of Giving on Thursday, September 7 and Day of Service on Friday, September 8. We invite you to be Wings of Change with us. Donate through this link. Volunteer through this link.

Wings of Change is an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the critical role of butterflies in our ecosystem. We believe that by coming together, we can create a sustainable future for these tiny but vital creatures.

Pollinators, such as butterflies, bees, and birds, play a pivotal role in maintaining biodiversity and supporting our food supply. Sadly, these essential creatures are facing numerous challenges, including habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change. Our mission at Wings of Change is to advocate for butterflies and spread the word about their importance to ensure a thriving and balanced natural world.

Our Day of Service Project

*Wings of Change will be creating a butterfly-friendly habitat at a the Fallbrook Post Office, a local bank or a dental office on our ‘SD Day of Service’ on 09/08/23.  (Location still to be determined.)  We are teaming up with a local professional in landscape design and utilizing our expert knowledge to create a butterfly haven at one of our most-frequented meeting place in Fallbrook! Volunteer through this link.

*Wings of Change is dedicated to educating the public with our ‘Butterfly of the Month’ program. Every month, we highlight a new butterfly, cultivate understanding about their host plant, and how to nurture each. We are are published  in The Fallbrook Village News, provide educational videos, and host informational talks and seed giveaways in our community on a regular basis. Curriculum is specific to each month’s Butterfly of the Month and their host plant.

Values

  • Operate from Abundance

Operating from a place of abundance, not scarcity, believing that philanthropy is not a zero-sum game and that resources are best invested in ideas that are inclusive, accessible, and ignite a passion in giving.

  • Connected to Community

Accountable to and connected with the communities we serve, believing that our ideas are improved by listening and responding to the needs of our stakeholders and that when making strategic decisions, we will be informed by the organizations and donors we serve and the funders who support our work.
